SDG 6 : Clean Water and Sanitation
1/ EE Club – Faculty of Science and Technology of Guéliz (FSTG)
Founded in 2022, the EE Club at FSTG unites ambitious and motivated students dedicated to addressing key challenges related to water conservation, environmental protection, and sustainable development. The club’s core mission is to raise awareness and promote responsible management of natural resources while ensuring a harmonious balance between human activities and nature. Through effective communication, education, and outreach, the EE Club empowers students and the wider community to actively contribute to preserving our planet’s essential ecosystems.
Signature Initiatives:
- Awareness Day: Dedicated days focused on educating students and the public about critical environmental issues, such as water scarcity, pollution, and sustainable resource management.
- Educational Visits: Immersive trips to museums and specialized centers related to water, energy, and geology, designed to deepen understanding of these interconnected natural systems.
- Field Visits to Research Centers: Hands-on experiences at institutions such as the National Center for Water and Energy Studies and Research (CNREE), where members explore cutting-edge research and innovations in water and energy sectors.
Highlight Events:
- Training and Orientation for Final Year Projects: Targeted sessions guiding students through the preparation and execution of their final engineering projects, emphasizing environmental impact and sustainable solutions.
- Participation in the Water Village: Engagement in the inaugural edition of the “Water Village” event, organized by the Autonomous Water and Electricity Distribution Authority of Marrakech (RADEEMA), providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and showcasing innovations in water and energy distribution.
