Objectif 10 : Reduced inequalities

Through inclusive admission policies, financial support programs, targeted scholarships for under-represented groups, and community outreach initiatives, UCA actively works to reduce inequalities within and among communities, ensuring equal access to higher education regardless of gender, geographic origin, disability, or socio-economic background.

Here is UCA in action :

1-MINHATY Scholarships – 100% funded by UCA

Every year, Cadi Ayyad University awards more than 3,000 MINHATY scholarships (excellence and equity grants) fully funded by its own budget to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds, rural or remote areas.

These scholarships cover registration fees, accommodation, meals, and even a monthly allowance, ensuring that no talented student gives up higher education for financial reasons.

2-Equal Access Program for Students with Disabilities

UCA has a dedicated service to support students with disabilities (physical, sensory, or mental): adapted classrooms, Braille transcription, sign language interpreters, adapted transport, and priority access to university housing.

More than 400 students benefit from these measures every year at no extra cost.

3-Quotas and Specific Access Routes for Rural and Disadvantaged Areas

During admissions, reserved quotas are applied for high school graduates from the least favoured provinces and regions (e.g., Chichaoua, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, etc.).

Free bridging programs and remedial courses are also offered to students from these areas to close any educational gaps.

4-Gender Parity and Promotion of Girls’ Access

UCA achieves a female enrolment rate above 55% in most programs, significantly higher than the national average.

Annual targeted campaigns in rural high schools (especially during Open Days) actively encourage young women to pursue higher education, particularly in scientific and technical fields traditionally dominated by men.

5-Solidarity Fund and Emergency Financial Aid

A special fund managed by the UCA Foundation provides immediate help in case of unexpected financial hardship (death of a parent, natural disaster, etc.): full or partial coverage of fees for the current year, with no repayment required.

In 2024-2025, more than 1,200 students received this emergency aid.
