The High School of Technology of Essaouira, Cadi Ayyad University, hosted the SciMeTech-SD 2026 International Conference for Sustainable Development under the theme “Innovation in New Technologies for Better Health, Education, Economy and Social Life.” The hybrid event brought together researchers, academics, professionals, and students from different countries to exchange knowledge and present innovative research.
The conference featured keynote presentations, workshops, scientific sessions, round-table discussions, and networking activities covering topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Smart Cities, Digital Health, Sustainable Energy, Education, Economics, Governance, and Quantum Computing.
More than 100 scientific papers were presented through online and in-person sessions, reflecting the multidisciplinary vision of the conference. The event also hosted activities of the Moroccan Quantum Computing Cluster (MQCC), including the welcome ceremony for new members and the annual meeting dedicated to strengthening collaboration and advancing quantum technologies in Morocco.
SciMeTech-SD 2026 highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research, innovation, technology transfer, and international collaboration in addressing contemporary challenges and supporting sustainable development.
